Common questions

Can I use a GU10 LED bulb in an old halogen fitting?

Yes — GU10 LED bulbs are designed as a direct swap for halogen GU10 bulbs, no new fitting or transformer required. If the fitting is on a dimmer, check the bulb is dimmable and that your existing dimmer switch is LED-compatible, as some older dimmers cause flickering with LEDs.

How long do LED bulbs actually last?

Most rated for 15,000-25,000 hours, which works out to well over a decade of typical household use — 15-20 times longer than a halogen equivalent.

What's the difference between E27 and E14?

The numbers refer to the screw base diameter in millimetres — E27 is the larger, standard size found in most pendants and table lamps, while E14 is the smaller "candle" size often used in chandeliers and decorative fittings. They aren't interchangeable.
