Wall Lights

Wall lights do something a ceiling fitting can't: they put light exactly where you need it, at the right height, without taking up floor or surface space.

In a sitting room, a wall light beside a sofa or armchair replaces the floor lamp you don't have room for. In a bedroom, a wall-mounted reading light keeps the bedside clear and stops you knocking over a table lamp at 2am. In a hallway, a wall light at mid-height softens the space in a way that ceiling-only lighting never does.

Irish hallways present a specific opportunity here. Narrow and often dark, they benefit more from a wall light at 1.2 to 1.5 metres than from a brighter ceiling fitting. The light washes the wall, makes the space feel wider, and creates a better first impression when someone walks through the door.
