The ceiling structure must be confirmed by your electrician — at 8.5kg, a standard plasterboard fixing is not sufficient and a joist or dedicated load-bearing fixing is required. The fitting height of 95cm means this chandelier is best suited to rooms with ceiling heights of 300cm or more, or double-height spaces where the vertical scale can be fully appreciated. Five glass shades diffuse each E27 bulb individually, giving a softer, more distributed light than a bare-arm chandelier. The max wattage per socket is 40W (not 60W) because the enclosed glass shades limit heat dissipation — use modern LED bulbs at 4–6W equivalent per socket. All five sockets are dimmable with a compatible E27 dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs. Four brass finishes cover the main interior palettes. The 100cm cable can be adjusted at installation. What ceiling height do I need for this chandelier?

The fitting itself is 95cm tall, plus the cable drop (up to 100cm, adjustable). For a dining room, the bottom of the chandelier should sit 75–85cm above the table. For a hallway or living room, allow at least 210cm clearance from the floor to the bottom of the fitting. A minimum ceiling height of 320–350cm is recommended for this size of chandelier to look proportionate.
Does my ceiling need special reinforcement to support 8.5kg?
