Industrial Pendant Light — black metal cage, E27 socket, vintage factory aesthetic
This is a hardwired pendant — it connects directly to your ceiling wiring and requires a qualified electrician for safe installation. The 100cm cable can be shortened at the ceiling rose during installation, but cannot be extended. The open metal cage design means the bulb is fully visible, so bulb choice matters aesthetically: a filament LED at 2700K (4–6W, E27) gives the warmest, most authentic industrial look. The powder-coated finish is heat-resistant and durable, but the cage offers no IP protection — keep it away from steam, moisture, or outdoor use. No dimming is built in; dimmability depends on the bulb type and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. The two variants differ only in whether a vintage filament bulb is included — the fixture itself is identical. Browse the full pendant lights collection for more styles.
This pendant works best as a focused accent light rather than a primary room light — ideal above a kitchen island, breakfast bar, bedside, or reading nook. For dining tables, hang it so the bottom of the cage sits 70–80cm above the surface. Grouping two or three in a row creates a strong industrial statement over longer surfaces. The compact cage diameter suits narrow spaces where larger pendants would feel overwhelming. For styling ideas and placement tips, read our guide on pendant lights over kitchen islands.
Common questions
What is the difference between the "With" and "Without" variants?
+
The fixture is identical in both cases. The "With" variant includes a vintage filament bulb (E27) in the box — useful if you don't already have one. The "Without" variant is the pendant only, at a lower price. If you already own E27 filament bulbs or prefer to choose your own, go with "Without".
Does this pendant need an electrician to install?
+
Yes — this is a hardwired fixture with no plug. It connects directly to your ceiling wiring (live, neutral, earth) via a ceiling rose. We recommend hiring a qualified electrician to ensure a safe and compliant installation.
Can I use this pendant in a bathroom or kitchen above a sink?
+
No. This pendant is rated IP20, which means it has no protection against moisture or water ingress. It must not be installed in bathrooms, above sinks, or in any damp or outdoor environment. For wet zones, you need a fitting rated IP44 or higher.
Is this pendant dimmable?
+
The fixture has no built-in dimmer. To dim it, you need a dimmable E27 bulb and a compatible dimmer switch on the circuit. Standard non-dimmable LED bulbs will flicker or fail on a dimmer. If the included filament bulb ("With" variant) is dimmable, it will be noted on the packaging.
How low will this pendant hang — is 100cm enough for my ceiling?
+
The cable is 100cm long and can be shortened at the ceiling rose during installation. The total drop (ceiling rose to bottom of cage) will be slightly less than 100cm depending on the rose height. For a dining table, aim for the cage bottom to sit 70–80cm above the table. In a room with a 2.5m ceiling, this leaves roughly 1.7m of clearance — comfortable for most uses.
