Integrated LED — No Bulb, No Guesswork, Consistent Output
The integrated LED module is the defining practical advantage of this chandelier. There is no socket, no bulb to source, no compatibility question. The light source, driver, and thermal management are factory-matched — output, colour temperature, and CRI are consistent from day one and do not vary. At 20W, this fitting draws less than a single traditional incandescent bulb while delivering the output of a much higher-wattage source. The matte black finish on the metal frame and bars is the right choice for a fitting where the form itself is the statement — it absorbs light rather than reflecting it, which keeps the eye on the structure rather than the surface. The bar format distributes light evenly along its length, making it well-suited to dining tables, kitchen islands, and rectangular rooms where a single central point source would leave the ends of the table in shadow.
The size guide (10–15m² for 60cm, 12–18m² for 80cm, 15–20m² for 100cm) is based on the fitting as the primary light source in the room. If you are using this chandelier as a centrepiece with supplementary wall lights or floor lamps, you can size down — the 60cm or 80cm will be sufficient even in larger rooms. The fitting is fixed in position once installed — it hangs vertically and cannot be tilted. Height is set at installation via the suspension cable; confirm the drop before the electrician closes the ceiling rose. Common Questions
Which size should I choose for my dining room?
+
Match the bar length to your table length, not your room size. For a table up to 120cm, the 60cm bar is proportionate. For a 140–160cm table, the 80cm. For a table of 180–200cm, the 100cm. The room size guide (10–20m²) applies when the chandelier is the sole light source — if you have supplementary lighting, you can size down one step. When in doubt, go longer: a bar that is slightly too long reads as intentional; one that is too short looks undersized.
Since the LED is integrated, what happens if it fails?
+
Integrated LED modules are rated for tens of thousands of hours under normal domestic use — at 4–6 hours daily, that is well over a decade. If the module fails within its rated life, contact us and we will advise on options. The trade-off versus a socket-and-bulb fitting is that you cannot simply swap a bulb — but the long rated life means this is rarely a practical concern during the fitting’s useful life.
Is this chandelier dimmable?
+
This fitting is not listed as dimmable — do not connect it to a dimmer switch, as this can damage the integrated LED driver and void any applicable guarantee. It operates at full brightness via a standard on/off wall switch. If dimming is important to you, look for a fitting with a dimmable integrated LED driver or a socket-and-bulb version with a dimmable E27 LED.
Will matte black show dust or fingerprints?
+
Matte black finishes show dust more visibly than gloss finishes because the flat surface does not reflect light to mask particles. In practice, a chandelier at ceiling height is rarely touched, so fingerprints are not a concern. Dust with a dry microfibre cloth every few months — avoid wet cleaning or abrasive products, which can dull the matte lacquer.
Can I install this myself, or do I need an electrician?
+
This is a hardwired fitting that connects directly to your ceiling circuit — a qualified electrician is required. If you already have a ceiling rose in place, the installation is straightforward and typically takes under an hour. The full fixing kit is included in the box. If there is no existing ceiling point at the desired location, a new circuit connection will be needed.
