Industrial Wall Light — Style, Material & Placement
The black thermolacquered finish is durable and scratch-resistant, making it a practical choice for hallways, living rooms, and bedrooms. For the best ambience with an exposed E27 socket, we recommend a warm filament LED (2700K, 4–6W) — it complements the wood base beautifully and keeps energy use low. This fixture is hardwired and rated IP20, so it's strictly for dry indoor spaces; it's not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use. There is no built-in dimming mechanism — dimmability depends entirely on your chosen bulb and whether your wall switch is compatible with a dimmer module.
This wall light works well as a bedside reading light, a corridor accent, or a pair flanking a mirror or artwork. Grouping two units symmetrically on either side of a headboard creates a balanced, hotel-inspired look. Common questions
Does this wall light need to be wired by an electrician?
+
Yes. This is a hardwired fixture — it connects directly to your wall wiring and has no plug. We recommend having it installed by a qualified electrician to ensure a safe and compliant installation.
What bulb should I use, and what's the maximum wattage?
+
The socket is E27 with a maximum of 40W. We recommend a warm white filament LED (2700K, 4–6W) for the best aesthetic result. Avoid incandescent bulbs above 40W as they may overheat the fitting.
Can I use this light in a bathroom or outdoor area?
+
No. This fixture is rated IP20, which means it offers no protection against moisture or water ingress. It is suitable for dry indoor rooms only — not bathrooms, kitchens above sinks, or any outdoor location.
Is this wall light dimmable?
+
The fixture itself has no built-in dimmer. Dimmability depends on the bulb you choose (it must be labelled dimmable) and whether your wall switch is wired with a compatible dimmer module. Check both before purchasing a dimmable bulb.
Does the wood base affect the heat resistance of the fitting?
+
With a low-wattage LED bulb (under 10W), heat output is minimal and the wood base is not at risk. We do not recommend using high-wattage incandescent bulbs, which generate significantly more heat and could damage the fitting over time.
