The E14 small screw cap is the standard for chandeliers, multi-arm wall lights, and decorative table lamps across Europe. This range covers the full spectrum of E14 lighting needs: 3W for soft accent and decorative use, up to 20W for maximum output from a single E14 source. In a multi-arm chandelier, wattage selection determines the total output of the fitting — a 6-arm chandelier with 6W per arm produces 36W total, which is a comfortable ambient output for a dining room or hallway. At 20W per arm in a 6-arm fitting, the total output is 120W — a very bright primary source. Always check the fitting’s maximum total wattage before selecting. The globe shape produces a uniform, diffused light with no visible chip — suitable for open and enclosed fittings alike. Warm white (2700–3000K) is the standard choice for chandeliers and decorative wall lights; cool white (6000–6500K) suits contemporary or industrial multi-arm fittings where a crisper light is preferred.

What is the difference between E14 and E27 — how do I know which I need?

E14 is the small screw cap — 14mm diameter. E27 is the large screw cap — 27mm diameter. Check the socket size on your existing fitting or the cap marking on your old bulb. Most chandeliers and decorative wall lights use E14; most pendant and ceiling lights use E27. If you’re unsure, contact us with a photo and we’ll confirm.
What wattage should I choose for a 6-arm chandelier in a dining room?

For a dining room chandelier used as the primary light source, 6W–9W per arm is a good starting point. 6 × 6W = 36W total — warm ambient output for dining. 6 × 9W = 54W — brighter and better for rooms where you also need functional light. At 3W per arm, the chandelier is decorative rather than functional. Always check the fitting’s maximum total wattage before selecting.
Can I use this globe bulb in a fitting that previously had candle-shaped E14 bulbs?

Yes — as long as the socket is E14, any E14 bulb shape will fit electrically. The globe shape is slightly wider than a candle bulb, so check that the fitting’s socket housing or decorative cup does not restrict the bulb diameter. In open-arm chandeliers, the globe shape is fully visible and creates a different aesthetic to the candle — rounder and more contemporary.
Is 20W E14 available — and when would I need that much output from a small cap?

Yes — the 20W E14 is the highest output option in this range, producing approximately 1,800–2,000 lm. It is useful in single-socket E14 fittings where you need maximum brightness, or in multi-arm fittings where the total wattage rating allows it. In a 3-arm fitting with a 60W maximum, 3 × 20W would exceed the rating — always check before selecting the highest wattage.
Will this bulb flicker in a chandelier with a dimmer switch?

This bulb is not dimmable — it requires a standard on/off circuit. If your chandelier has a dimmer switch, this bulb will likely flicker or not function correctly. Replace the dimmer with a standard switch, or choose a dimmable LED bulb from our range. Many older chandeliers were wired with dimmers for incandescent bulbs — these are not compatible with non-dimmable LEDs.
