The V2 iteration refines the proportions and detailing of the original Moon Brut XL while retaining the same raw unfinished steel and natural wood construction. Both versions share the XL scale and Brut finish philosophy — steel left entirely untreated, developing its own organic patina over time. The V2 brings more considered detailing to the cage elements, pulleys, and exposed wiring, giving it a slightly more deliberate, design-conscious quality without losing the raw industrial character. Each unit is hand-assembled, so subtle surface variations are expected and add to the authenticity. For the best result, use a warm Edison-style filament LED (E27, 2700K, 4–6W). The E27 socket is not compatible with E14 bulbs. Compatible with smart plugs, timers, and dimmer modules. Freestanding and easy to reposition.

Will the raw steel develop rust or patina over time?

This is expected and part of the Brut aesthetic. To slow the process, apply a thin coat of clear wax or metal sealant. Avoid damp environments as prolonged moisture exposure will accelerate oxidation.
