The Brut finish means the steel is left entirely untreated: no lacquer, paint, or applied patina. Over time, the raw steel will develop its own organic patina — a slow darkening and surface oxidation that deepens the industrial character. This is expected and part of the appeal; to slow the process, apply a thin coat of clear wax or metal sealant. Each unit is hand-assembled, so subtle surface variations between units are a mark of authenticity. For the best result, use a warm Edison-style filament LED (E27, 2700K, 4–6W).
