COB Recessed Downlight — rotatable, dimmable option, integrated LED
This recessed COB downlight features an extendable, rotatable head that lets you direct light precisely — useful over kitchen counters, artwork, or reading nooks. The COB (chip-on-board) source produces a clean, focused beam with no visible LED dots. Available in warm white (2700–3000K, relaxed atmosphere) or natural light (4000K, crisp and task-friendly); the dimmable 9W variant requires a compatible LED dimmer switch. IP20 means it is strictly for dry, indoor ceilings. Connection is hardwired — ceiling wiring is required before installation.
Ideal for kitchens, living rooms, or hallways where directional light adds structure without a visible fitting. Group three or more at equal spacing across a kitchen ceiling for even task lighting, or offset a pair to accent a feature wall. Common questions
Is the LED replaceable?
+
No — this fitting uses an integrated COB LED module that is fixed and non-replaceable. The LED is rated for long-term use, so replacement should not be needed for many years under normal conditions.
Does the dimmable version work with any dimmer switch?
+
No — it requires a compatible LED dimmer switch (not a standard incandescent dimmer). Check your existing dimmer is LED-rated before purchasing the dimmable variant to avoid flickering.
What is the difference between warm white and natural light?
+
Warm white (around 2700–3000K) gives a soft, relaxing glow — best for living rooms and bedrooms. Natural light (around 4000K) is cooler and crisper — better for kitchens, offices, or task areas where clarity matters.
Can I use this in a bathroom?
+
No — the IP20 rating means this fitting is only suitable for dry, indoor spaces. For bathrooms, you need a minimum IP44 rating (splash-proof). Choose a downlight from our range with an appropriate IP rating for wet zones.
How much ceiling depth does the fitting need?
+
Recessed downlights require a void behind the ceiling to sit into — typically 60–100mm depending on the fitting. Check the product dimensions against your ceiling void before ordering. If your ceiling depth is limited, a surface-mounted spotlight may be a better option.
