90° elbow — adjustable reach, bulb up or down, made to order
The 90° elbow is what makes this sconce versatile: it lets you point the bulb upward for a soft wash of reflected light, or downward for a more directed reading or accent beam. That choice is made at installation by rotating the elbow — not a switch, not a mechanism, just the angle of the pipe. The copper finish is raw and warm, pairing well with exposed brick, plaster, or dark-painted walls. Choose your pipe length at checkout (4in to 12in) to control how far the fitting projects from the wall. The socket colour — Black or White ceramic — is the only other variable. Made to order, so allow for lead time. Hardwired only; IP20 rated for dry indoor spaces. Not suitable for bathrooms or outdoor use.
Works well flanking a bed, framing a mirror, or running in a row along a corridor. For a bedside pair, a 6in or 8in pipe gives enough projection without crowding the wall. Use a filament LED at 2700K in E27 for the warmest result with the copper finish. Browse the full wall lights collection or read our wall lights guide for placement ideas before you order.
Common questions
Can I choose whether the bulb points up or down?
+
Yes — the 90° elbow can be rotated at installation to point the socket upward or downward. This is set manually by your electrician during fitting; it is not adjustable after installation without loosening the elbow.
Which pipe length should I choose?
+
4in (≈10cm) is compact and close to the wall — good for tight spaces or hallways. 6–8in works well for bedside use. 10–12in gives a more dramatic projection, suited to high-ceilinged rooms or statement walls. Measure your wall space before ordering as the pipe length cannot be changed after production.
What bulb do you recommend for this sconce?
+
A filament-style LED in E27 format at 2700K gives the warmest result with the copper finish — a tube or globe shape works well with the exposed design. Max wattage is 60W. Bulbs can be added as an option at checkout.
Does this need a qualified electrician to install?
+
Yes. This is a hardwired wall fitting — it connects directly to your wall wiring with no plug. A qualified electrician is required for safe installation.
Can this sconce be used in a bathroom or outdoors?
+
No. This fitting is IP20 rated — suitable for dry indoor areas only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, or any outdoor use.
