This fitting mounts on a flat wall, a flat ceiling, or a sloped or vaulted ceiling — which makes it useful in rooms where the ceiling angle rules out standard fittings. The wall rose is 14cm in diameter and sits flush against the surface; the 25cm arm brings the shade forward from the wall, positioning the light source where it is most effective. The frosted milky glass shade diffuses the bulb completely — no visible filament, no glare, just an even warm glow that suits a bedroom, hallway, or stairwell.
Model A (Ø 22 cm shade) is the standard choice for a living room, bedroom, or hallway where the fitting is the primary decorative element on the wall. Model B (Ø 20 cm shade) is marginally more compact — suited to tighter wall spaces or where a slightly smaller fitting gives better visual proportion. Yes — the wall rose is designed to sit flush against a sloped surface as well as a flat wall or ceiling. Your electrician will confirm the fixing method based on the ceiling angle and construction. This makes it particularly useful in attic conversions, rooms with pitched roofs, or stairwells where a standard ceiling fitting would not sit correctly.
Do I need an electrician to install this fitting?

Yes — this fitting must be hardwired to the mains by a qualified electrician. If a back box or spur is already in position, installation is typically under an hour.
What bulb works best with a frosted glass shade?

An E27 LED at 5–8W and 2700K is the best match. The frosted glass diffuses the bulb completely, so the shape of the bulb does not matter — a standard A60 works well. Avoid bulbs above 3000K: the frosted glass softens the light, and a cooler source will still read as cold through the shade. Max 25W — do not exceed this rating.
Will the brass tarnish over time?

Unlacquered brass oxidises slowly, shifting from bright gold toward a deeper, warmer tone over time. This is expected and not a defect. To maintain the original brightness, apply a specialist brass cleaner once or twice a year and buff dry. To let the patina develop naturally, dust weekly with a dry microfibre cloth and leave it. In coastal homes, wipe monthly to prevent salt acceleration.
