The two key features here are the articulating arm and the adjustable cylindrical shade head. The arm extends and pivots to position the bar at the right distance from the wall and angle above the artwork. The shade head then tilts independently to direct the G9 beam precisely across the painting surface. This combination gives significantly more control over the light distribution than a fixed-arm picture light — useful if your wiring position doesn’t sit perfectly above the centre of the artwork, or if you want to adjust the coverage after installation. Three sizes cover most artwork widths: 35.5cm for smaller prints and portraits, 50.5cm for medium canvases, and 60.5cm for large paintings or wide frames. Six finishes include warm brass options (Antique, Polished, Satin), neutral (Antique Silver), and contemporary black (Gloss and Matte). Mount the wall bracket so the arm positions the bar 5–10cm above the top edge of the frame, with the shade head angled to cover the full height of the painting. Which size should I choose for my painting?

As a guide: the 35.5cm bar suits paintings up to approximately 70–80cm wide; the 50.5cm suits 80–120cm; the 60.5cm suits 120cm and above. The bar should ideally be 50–70% of the painting width for even coverage. When in doubt, go one size larger — a bar that’s slightly wider than the painting looks better than one that’s too narrow.
Can the arm and head be adjusted after installation?

Yes — the articulating arm and adjustable shade head can both be repositioned after installation without disconnecting the fitting. This makes it easy to fine-tune the light direction if you change the artwork or rearrange the room.
Which G9 bulbs should I use?

Use G9 LED capsule bulbs at 2700K for the most natural colour rendering on artwork. Choose dimmable G9 LEDs if you plan to use a dimmer switch. Avoid halogen G9 bulbs — they run very hot and are less efficient. The number of G9 sockets depends on the bar size; check the product images for the specific configuration.
