Studio Floor Lamp — Photography-Inspired Design, Compact Format, Plug & Play
The design reference here is the professional photography studio light — the kind of utilitarian, purposeful fixture that prioritises function and has an aesthetic confidence that comes from not trying to be decorative. Brought into a home interior, that same quality reads as original and considered rather than generic. At 67 cm tall and 30 cm wide, this is a compact lamp — closer in scale to a large table lamp than a full floor lamp — which makes it ideal for desks, low shelving, bedside placement, or any space where a full-height floor lamp would feel out of proportion. The wood-and-metal combination softens the industrial reference: the wood base grounds the lamp and adds warmth, while the metal shade gives it the directional, focused quality of a studio light. The E27 bulb is included, so the lamp is ready to use immediately. For the best aesthetic, replace the included bulb with an E27 LED filament at 2700K when it needs changing — the warm tone suits the wood-and-metal pairing well. IP20 rated, plug-in only.
This lamp works particularly well in home offices, creative studios, and bedrooms where the photography-equipment aesthetic feels at home. It also suits eclectic and industrial-leaning interiors where an unexpected object reference adds character. Its compact footprint means it can be placed on a low surface or beside a desk without taking up significant floor space. Common Questions
What type of bulb is included — and what should I replace it with?
+
An E27 bulb is included in the box — the lamp is ready to use on arrival. When it needs replacing, any standard E27 bulb will fit. For the best look with the wood-and-metal design, we recommend an E27 LED filament bulb at 2700K (warm white), 4–6W. The warm tone complements the wood base and gives a cosy, studio-like glow.
At 67 cm, is this really a floor lamp or more of a table lamp?
+
It stands on the floor on its own base, so it’s classified as a floor lamp — but at 67 cm it sits between a table lamp and a standard floor lamp in scale. It’s best used in contexts where a low-level light source is needed: beside a low armchair, on a landing, in a bedroom corner, or on a low shelf or surface. It’s not suited to replacing overhead or high ambient lighting.
Can I use this lamp in a home office or creative studio?
+
Yes — the photography-studio design reference makes it a natural fit for creative workspaces. It provides warm ambient light rather than focused task lighting, so it works best alongside a dedicated desk lamp rather than as a sole light source for detailed work. As a background accent or mood light in a studio or office, it’s an excellent choice.
Is the shade adjustable or fixed?
+
The shade is fixed — it does not rotate or tilt. This lamp is designed for ambient and decorative use rather than directional task lighting. If you need a floor lamp with an adjustable head, see our industrial spotlight floor lamp with 360° rotation.
What interior styles does this lamp suit best?
+
The wood-and-metal combination and studio-equipment aesthetic work well in industrial, Scandi, mid-century modern, eclectic, and creative interiors. It’s less suited to very formal or traditional spaces. The compact scale also makes it a good fit for smaller rooms or apartments where a full-height floor lamp would feel oversized.
