Linear Bar Pendant — Black Metal, Acrylic Diffuser, Three Widths, 150 cm Adjustable Drop
This pendant is built around a linear black metal bar with an acrylic diffuser that distributes light evenly along its full length — no hotspots, no harsh shadows. The horizontal format is purpose-built for rectangular dining tables and kitchen islands where a single round pendant would leave the ends of the surface underlit. The S (80 cm) suits tables up to around 140 cm; the M (100 cm) covers tables from 140–180 cm; the L (120 cm) is best for tables from 180 cm and up or larger kitchen islands. The 150 cm drop is adjustable, so you can set the hanging height precisely for your ceiling — excess cable tucks into the size-matched canopy. Note that the canopy dimensions also scale with the size (50/80/100 cm), so the ceiling footprint increases with the bar width. Bulb included and works out of the box. Not dimmable. IP20 means strictly dry indoor use.
Hang the bar so its bottom sits approximately 70–80 cm above the table surface for comfortable, glare-free dining light. The black finish integrates cleanly into industrial, Scandinavian, and modern interiors — it pairs particularly well with dark joinery, light oak, concrete, or white-painted walls. In an open-plan space, the linear format works as a natural visual divider between the dining and living zones. Common questions
Which size should I choose for my dining table?
+
As a general rule, choose a bar that is roughly 2/3 the length of your table. The S (80 cm) suits tables up to around 140 cm; the M (100 cm) works well for tables from 140–180 cm; the L (120 cm) is best for tables from 180 cm and up. Note that the canopy also scales with the size — the L has a 100 cm ceiling canopy, so ensure your ceiling rose position is centred above the table.
Can the 150 cm drop be shortened for lower ceilings?
+
Yes. The 150 cm drop is adjustable — excess cable can be gathered and concealed inside the canopy during installation, allowing you to set the hanging height to suit your ceiling. For standard 2.4–2.6 m ceilings, aim for the bottom of the bar to sit approximately 70–80 cm above the table surface.
Is the bulb replaceable?
+
A bulb is included and works out of the box. If you need clarification on the socket type or whether the bulb is user-replaceable, feel free to contact us before ordering.
Can this pendant be used in a bathroom or above a kitchen sink?
+
No. With an IP20 rating, this fixture has no moisture protection and must only be used in dry indoor spaces. It is not suitable for bathrooms, above sinks, or any area exposed to steam or humidity.
Is this pendant compatible with a dimmer switch?
+
No. This fixture is not dimmable and should not be connected to a dimmer circuit. Use a standard on/off switch for safe operation.
