Large Industrial Chandelier — Scale, Materials & Room Fit
At 140cm total length with adjustable cables, this chandelier is designed for rooms with generous ceiling height — ideally 2.8m or more for a dining table installation, where the bottom of the shades should sit roughly 75–85cm above the table surface. The solid wood beam softens what would otherwise be a purely industrial piece; the natural grain contrasts with the matte black powder-coated shades to create a warm, layered look. For the best ambience across eight sockets, use warm filament LEDs (2700K, 4–6W each) — they keep total power draw under 50W while producing a rich, even glow. This fixture is hardwired and rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor spaces only. There is no built-in dimmer — dimmability depends on your chosen bulbs and whether your ceiling circuit includes a compatible dimmer module.
This chandelier works best centred over a long dining table, in an open-plan kitchen-living area, or as a statement piece in a double-height hallway or loft. Its scale demands space — it is not suited to small rooms or low ceilings. Common questions
What ceiling height do I need for this chandelier?
+
We recommend a minimum ceiling height of 2.8m for comfortable installation over a dining table. The cables are adjustable, so you can set the hang height to suit your room. For hallways or living rooms where people walk beneath it, ensure at least 2.1m clearance from floor to the lowest point of the fixture.
How many bulbs does it take, and are they included?
+
It takes 8×E27 bulbs, none of which are included. We recommend warm white filament LEDs (2700K, 4–6W each) for the best industrial aesthetic and energy efficiency. Do not exceed 40W per socket.
Can I adjust the cable length after installation?
+
Yes. The cables are adjustable, allowing you to set the hang height before or during installation. We recommend finalising the height before making the electrical connection. If you need to re-adjust after installation, switch off the circuit at the fuse board first.
Is this chandelier dimmable?
+
The fixture has no built-in dimmer. To dim it, you need 8 dimmable-rated E27 bulbs and a compatible dimmer ceiling switch. Check both before purchasing dimmable bulbs — all 8 bulbs must be dimmable for consistent results.
Does the wood beam require any maintenance?
+
Minimal maintenance is needed. Dust the beam periodically with a soft dry cloth. Avoid damp cloths or wood polish on the beam as these can alter the finish over time. The powder-coated metal shades can be wiped with a slightly damp cloth if needed.
