Stone, Light, and the Wabi-Sabi Principle
Stone is not a common material for pendant shades, and that is precisely the point. Each shade carries the texture and tonal variation inherent to the material — no two are identical. The warm yellow colouring of the stone diffuses the bulb's output into a soft, amber-tinted glow that suits Wabi-Sabi interiors: natural materials, quiet rooms, and lighting that feels settled rather than designed. Choose 3000K for the warmest result through the yellow shade, 4000K for a more neutral output, or 6000K if you want a cooler contrast against the warm stone tone.
Works well above a bedside table, in a study, or as a single accent pendant in a living room or hotel room. The cord installation is self-contained and straightforward to hang. Common questions
Is the bulb included?+
No — this pendant takes an E27 bulb, sold separately. For the warmest result through the yellow stone shade, choose a filament LED at 2700–3000K.
What do the colour temperature variants mean?+
The three variants — Warm 3000K, Neutral 4000K, and Cool 6000K — refer to the colour temperature of the LED bulb supplied with the fitting. 3000K gives the warmest, most amber light; 6000K is cooler and whiter. All three pass through the yellow stone shade, so the output is always warm-toned to some degree.
Does the stone shade vary between units?+
Yes — natural stone carries inherent variation in texture and tone. Slight differences between units are a characteristic of the material, not a defect.
Can I dim this pendant?+
No — this is a non-dimmable fitting. If adjustable brightness is a priority, browse our dimmable pendant options.
Does it need a professional electrician to install?+
This is a hardwired cord pendant that connects to your ceiling wiring. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician, especially if you are replacing an existing ceiling rose or fitting.
