The pairing of clear glass and brass is one of the defining combinations of industrial-vintage lighting — and for good reason. The glass shade lets the bulb remain fully visible, which means the bulb itself is part of the aesthetic: a large globe or squirrel-cage filament E27 at 2700K will glow warmly through the glass and cast a soft, amber light across the room. The brass-finish support adds warmth that chrome or black cannot — it reads as considered rather than utilitarian, and sits naturally alongside wood, leather, exposed brick, and warm-toned walls. At W25cm, the shade is focused rather than dominant — this is a pendant that draws the eye without overwhelming the space. The 100cm adjustable drop gives flexibility across ceiling heights: at a standard 240cm ceiling, you can achieve the recommended 70–80cm clearance above a table surface while keeping the fitting well above head height.
The lamp is fixed in angle — it hangs vertically and cannot be tilted or rotated after installation. Light output is downward and slightly diffused through the glass. Common Questions
What bulb will look best through the clear glass shade?

Because the glass is clear and the bulb fully visible, bulb choice matters more here than with an opaque shade. A large globe E27 (G95 or G125) or a squirrel-cage filament LED at 2700K gives the most decorative result — the filament glows visibly and creates a warm, amber pool of light. Avoid frosted or cool-white bulbs: frosted hides the filament effect, and cool white (4000K+) clashes with the brass finish. Maximum 50W equivalent.
The drop is listed as 100cm — can I set it shorter?

Yes — 100cm is the maximum drop. The cable coils inside the ceiling rose, so your electrician can set any drop from a few centimetres up to 100cm at installation. Decide on the final height before the rose is closed. For a dining table at standard height, aim for 70–80cm clearance between the bottom of the shade and the table surface.
Is W25cm wide enough to light a dining table properly?

As a single pendant, W25cm provides focused rather than wide coverage — it illuminates the centre of the table well but will not flood the full surface of a large dining table. For a table up to 120cm wide, one pendant centred above works well. For longer tables (160cm+), consider two pendants in a row spaced 50–60cm apart for even coverage. This pendant is also an excellent choice over a kitchen island, bedside table, or reading chair.
Does “fixed angle” mean I cannot tilt or rotate the shade?

Correct — the shade hangs vertically and cannot be tilted or rotated after installation. Light is directed downward. If you need a pendant that can be angled toward a wall or artwork, you would need an adjustable-arm or gimbal-style fitting. For over-table or over-island use where downward light is exactly what you need, the fixed angle is not a limitation.
Are all the fixings included, or do I need to buy anything extra?
