Double Industrial Cinema Floor Lamp — Two Light Sources, Materials & Placement
The two E27 sockets are the defining feature of this version — they deliver roughly twice the light output of the single-socket cinema lamps, making this a better choice for larger rooms or spaces where the floor lamp needs to serve as a primary light source rather than a supplementary accent. The cage elements and exposed cables are deliberate industrial design choices that reference early factory and cinema lighting. The unfinished metal will develop a natural patina over time, deepening the industrial character. For the best result, use matching warm Edison-style filament LEDs in both sockets (E27, 2700K, 4–6W each) — mismatched bulbs will create uneven light levels between the two arms. The E27 sockets are not compatible with E14 bulbs. The lamp is compatible with smart plugs, timers, and dimmer modules. It is freestanding and easy to reposition — no tools required once assembled.
This floor lamp suits larger living rooms, open-plan spaces, and dining areas where a single-socket lamp would feel insufficient. Its double-arm silhouette makes a stronger visual statement than the single versions and works well as a focal point beside a sofa, in a reading corner, or flanking a fireplace. The wood-and-metal combination pairs naturally with exposed brick, concrete, dark leather, and reclaimed timber. Common questions
Do both E27 sockets operate on the same switch?
+
Yes. Both sockets are controlled by the single on/off switch on the cable — they switch on and off together. There is no independent control for each arm. If you want to use only one socket, simply leave one bulb out.
Should I use the same bulb in both sockets?
+
Yes — we recommend using identical bulbs in both sockets for even, balanced light output. Mismatched wattages or colour temperatures will create a noticeable difference between the two arms. Two warm filament LEDs (E27, 2700K, 4–6W each) give the best result.
Does this lamp plug in or does it need to be hardwired?
+
It plugs into a standard wall socket — no electrician or hardwiring required. Simply assemble, plug in, and it’s ready to use.
Can I use this lamp with a smart plug or dimmer?
+
Yes. The lamp is compatible with smart plugs, timers, and motion detectors. For dimming, both bulbs must be dimmable-rated E27 and you need a smart plug with dimming capability or a plug-in dimmer module. The on/off switch on the cable remains functional alongside any smart plug.
Will the unfinished metal change appearance over time?
+
Yes — unfinished metal develops a natural patina over time, shifting toward a darker, more textured tone. In dry indoor conditions this is a slow, aesthetic process that adds character. To slow the patina, apply a thin coat of clear wax or metal sealant to the metal surfaces.
