Cone Wall Light — Bold Colour, Brass Detail, Open Bulb
The cone shade points downward and the open base leaves the bulb exposed — making the bulb itself a design element. A filament or globe E27 LED will show through and adds to the vintage-meets-colour aesthetic. The brass fitting and matching backplate give a warm metallic contrast to the matte powder-coated shade. The colour is consistent across the shade and backplate, giving each variant a unified, intentional look. These wall lights work well in pairs flanking a mirror or bed, or as individual accent lights along a corridor or staircase.
The bold palette — yellow, green, blue, pink, grey, white — suits spaces that already use colour as a design tool: coloured cabinetry, bold wallpaper, or children’s rooms. In more neutral spaces, a single coloured wall light acts as a focal point without overwhelming the scheme. Browse our full wall lights collection or read our guide on wall lights in 2026.
Common questions
What bulb do I need and is it included?
+
The bulb is not included. This wall light uses a standard E27 socket. Because the bulb is visible through the open base, we recommend a decorative filament or globe LED bulb at 4–6W in warm white (2700K) for the best aesthetic result.
Can I use a dimmer switch?
+
Yes, if you use a dimmable E27 LED bulb and a compatible trailing-edge LED dimmer switch. The wall light fitting itself is passive — dimming capability comes from the bulb and switch combination.
Can I install two on either side of a mirror or bed?
+
Yes — these wall lights work well in symmetrical pairs. The round backplate is compact and suits both wide and narrow wall spaces. Each light requires its own wiring point, so plan your electrical layout before installation.
Which colour works best for my space?
+
White is the most versatile and blends into most interiors. Grey suits industrial or Scandi schemes. Yellow and green work well in kitchens or children’s rooms. Blue and pink add a playful, contemporary accent — particularly effective against white or off-white walls.
Is the shade and backplate the same colour?
+
Yes — the cone shade and the round wall backplate are both powder-coated in the same colour. The brass fitting between them provides a warm metallic contrast that is consistent across all six colour variants.
